Upon completion of this course, the student will obtain a basic understanding of the plastic technology and how manufacturer procedures fit into the repair of these plastics and how ADAS affects the selection of appropriate repair procedures. The student will undertake three repairs. Tab, structural and non-structural. They will undertake repair procedures according to the manufacturer SOP’s

You will have hands-on training covering the following topics:

• Understand Plastics
  • Understand differences between plastic welding and adhesive repair
• Types of repairs
  • Structural
  • Non-structural
  • Tab
• Types of adhesives used in the repair.
• Understanding and following manufacturer SOP’s

Apprentices that attend may use the opportunity to gather evidence towards their MITO plastic repairs practical assessment. (PA12)
