Students will learn to identify the handling and safety considerations for intake and storage of electric and hybrid vehicles.

• Identify safety, best practices and understanding when a vehicle requires quarantining.
• Understand the potential consequences of damage to High-Voltage (HV) battery packs.
• Recognise the tools and equipment required for working on HV systems
• Describe how to disable High-Voltage batteries in preparation for service.
• Hands-On exercise of disarming and repowering a High-Voltage vehicle.
• Show understanding and carryout EV safety requirements.
• Find the correct OEM information required for making the vehicle safe to work on.
• Perform final checks and complete the I-CAR checklist for signoff.
