Aluminum Vehicle Overview is a one-hour course that provides an understanding of aluminum body construction and repair considerations with galvanic corrosion in the shop. The course also discusses heating, anchoring, straightening, and other part removal and replacement methods that may be used during the repair process.
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Identify aluminum fabrication processes.
- Recognize the galvanic corrosion process.
- Recall methods for aluminum workability and hardening.
- Identify aluminum tool/equipment considerations for repair procedures.
- Identify aluminum heating and straightening considerations.
- Recognize the considerations that must be taken when attaching aluminum parts during the repair process.
